Wood River Chess Club

A weekly chess club held at HPL. From 3:00 – 4:00, elementary-age kids are invited to participate. From 4:15 – 5:15 is intended for middle school-age kids. Former WRHS Chess Club members and Idaho Chess Association’s State Scholastic tournament winners Otto Olson and River Shepard (Shepard is also a U.S. Junior Grand Prix winner) want to share their knowledge of the game they love with the younger generation by leading this club. All levels are welcome! If you want to learn how to play, improve your game, or simply enjoy a few chess games, join us. Held at Hailey Public Library.
